Education
Dr. Rekant completed his undergraduate education Magna Cum Laude at Duke University and Medical School at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School on a full academic scholarship.
He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at New York University Medical Center - NYU Medical School after a general surgery internship. Dr. Rekant fulfilled his specialty training with a Hand and Upper Extremity Surgical Fellowship with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Professional Experience
Dr. Rekant has been with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center since 2001. He proudly delivers specialized orthopaedic care and treatment of both simple and complex ailments of the hands, wrists, elbow and shoulders.
Research Interests and Publications
Dr. Rekant has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in professional medical literature on subjects ranging from general repair techniques and core knowledge to the unique characteristics of various syndromes and injuries in the general population and athletes, in particular. He has presented routinely for over a decade at national and international conferences and symposia.
